$22,551 / month

How the video review cost calculator works

Footage per month = cameras × recording hours per day × days. Review hours = footage × the share your team watches ÷ the playback speed they watch at. Cost = review hours × the loaded hourly cost of an analyst.

The comparison column prices indexing all of that footage on Ceptory's prepaid rate ($0.042 per minute for indexing plus $0.0015 per minute for infrastructure) and the searches your team runs ($4 per 1,000 queries).

Search does not remove review work: an analyst still checks the moments a search returns. The calculator does not guess that time; it shows the two costs side by side so you can judge with your own numbers.

Frequently asked questions

What playback speed is realistic?

Teams often scrub routine footage at 4–8× and drop to 1× for anything that matters. Use the speed your analysts actually sustain over a shift, not the fastest setting.

What hourly cost should I enter?

Use the loaded cost: salary plus benefits, overhead and supervision, divided by productive hours. It is often 1.3–1.5 times the base hourly wage.

Where does the Ceptory price come from?

From the public prepaid rates on the Ceptory pricing page. The first 30 minutes of indexing are free. Enterprise and on-prem deployments are priced separately.

Does the calculator store my numbers?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
